CJNE-FM Nipawin – Licence renewal – Correction

1.

The Commission hereby corrects Broadcasting Decision 2008-348, in which it renewed the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CJNE-FM Nipawin, Saskatchewan from 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2012. In that decision, the Commission erroneously identified VF2212 Carrot River, Saskatchewan as a transmitter operated to rebroadcast the programming of CJNE-FM in its entirety. Consequently, the Commission deletes from Broadcasting Decision 2008-348 any reference to VF2212.

2.

In Broadcasting Decision 2006-536, the Commission approved an application to amend the licence for VF2212 by changing its program source in order to allow it to broadcast its own local programming as well as programs received from CFMI-FM New Westminster, British Columbia and from CJNE-FM. As such, VF2212 became a stand-alone radio station owned by CJNE FM Radio Inc. and subject to its own licence, which expires 31 August 2011. Accordingly, VF2212 is no longer subject to the conditions of licence of CJNE-FM.
