Call for comments on the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council's proposed Journalistic Independence Code

  Further to its Broadcasting Public Notices CRTC 2007-41 dated 13 April 2007 and 2007-41-1 dated 17 April 2007, the Commission announces the following:
  The Commission received a letter from the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) dated 19 June 2007 requesting that they be granted the opportunity to respond to the comments filed in the course of the public process on the CBSC's proposed Journalistic Independence Code. Accordingly, the Commission has agreed to give the CBSC this opportunity. The deadline for reply comments from the CBSC is 10 August 2007.
