In this Decision, the Commission approves finalized procedures for reporting and error handling in circumstances of the bulk porting of wireless service provider's leased telephone numbers.

1.

In CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee Business Process Working Group consensus report on wireless number portability implementation, Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-3, 26 January 2007 (Decision 2007-3), the Commission directed the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) Business Process Working Group (BPWG) to submit a final report on the procedures for reporting and error handling in situations of bulk porting of telephone numbers to wireless service providers, in the circumstances where NXX codes are being shared.

2.

Consistent with Decision 2007-3, the BPWG filed Appendix A to BPRE062c1 titled CLNPC NPAC ops2 - Bulk Porting of Leased TN Phase 1a and 1b - Procedures for Reporting and error handling V 2.2A, dated 25 January 20073.

3.

Appendix A to BPRE062c finalizes procedures for reporting and error handling in the circumstances of the bulk porting of wireless service provider's leased telephone numbers.

4.

The Commission considers that the recommendations set out in Appendix A to the consensus report are reasonable.

5.

In light of the above, the Commission approves Appendix A of BPRE062c.
