CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee - Consensus items

Consensus reports submitted to the CISC Steering Committee

1.

Several CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) working groups submitted consensus reports to the CISC Steering Committee (SC).

2.

On 10 November 2006 the SC approved the following report:
 

- Network Working Group - Implementation of IP address tracking in DOCSIS networks (TIF18), 17 October 2006 (NTRE038D). This report proposes a mechanism that will allow Internet service providers using third-party Internet access provided by cable carriers to track the Internet Protocol address used by their customers.

On 24 November 2006 the SC approved the following report:
 

- Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering (CSCN) - CSCN TIF 72 Modifications to CSCN GTT Point Code Notification Process, 25 October 2006 (CNRE063A). This report proposes changes to the CSCN processes for global title translation (GTT) point code notification between qualifying Canadian telecommunications service providers and to the associated Non Disclosure Agreement to allow wireless number portability.

The consensus reports were referred to the Commission for consideration. The reports are available on the Commission's website.

The Commission has reviewed and approves the above-noted consensus reports.
