CFKW-FM Sorrell Lake - Acquisition of assets

1.

The Commission approves the application by Jiska Westbroek for authority to acquire the assets of the English-language radio programming undertaking CFKW-FM Sorrell Lake from Mr. William J. Smith. CFWK-FM provides a tourist information service. The applicant also requested a broadcasting licence to continue to operate the undertaking under the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licence.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The Commission will issue a broadcasting licence to Jiska Westbroek once the current licence has been surrendered to the Commission. The new licence will expire 31 August 2010, the current licence expiry date, and will be subject to the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licence.
