CJET-FM Smiths Falls - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the commercial radio programming undertaking CJET-FM Smiths Falls, from 1 September 2005 to 31 August 2012.

2.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

3.

The licence will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999, with the exception of condition of licence number 10, as well as to the following condition of licence:
 
  • During each broadcast week, the licensee shall broadcast a maximum of 85% hit material as defined in Revised policy on the use of hits by English-language FM radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1997-42, 23 April 1997, as amended from time to time.

Because this licensee is subject to the Employment Equity Act and files reports concerning employment equity with theDepartment of Human Resources and Skills Development, its employment equity practices are not examined by the Commission.
