Telecom Order CRTC 2003-54

Ottawa, 29 January 2003

Futureway Communications Inc.

Reference: Tariff Notice 8

Local network access arrangement

1.

The Commission received an application by Futureway Communications Inc. (Futureway), dated 17 October 2002, to introduce its Access Services Tariff for interconnecting with Local Exchange Carriers under General Tariff item 201, Local Network Access Arrangement, in order to provide customers with access to unbundled copper local loops from its wire centre locations, where suitable facilities exist.

2.

In its application, Futureway noted that the default arrangement for access to one of the wire centres is unsegregated physical co-location space. Futureway also noted that where suitable space is not available in the wire centre, it would offer its customers a link extension service arrangement.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves on an interim basis Futureway's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
