Licence agreement for directory file service

1.

The Commission received applications by Bell Intrigna Inc., now Bell West Inc., dated 12 December 1996, 24 August 1998 and 13 September 1999, for approval of Schedules A and B of the Licence Agreement (the agreement) for Directory File Service (DFS).

2.

The agreement sets out the terms and conditions for the provision of subscriber lists to local exchange carriers, interexchange service providers, wireless service providers and alternate operator service providers in order to enable them to provide directory assistance service, and to independent directory publishers in order to enable them to publish directories.

The Commission notes that the tariffs associated with DFS were granted approval as part of Final tariffs for directory file service, Telecom Order CRTC 98-728, 23 July 1998. However, the standard form agreement was overlooked and did not received final Commission approval.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the applications.

5.

The Commission approves the standard form agreement that is associated with Bell West Inc.'s DFS.
