Service charge for trouble identification on incumbent local exchange carriers unbundled local loops

1.

The Commission received an application by Globility Communications Corporation (Globility), dated 7 November 2003, to add General Tariff item 601, Service Charge for Trouble Identification on ILEC Unbundled Local Loops.

2.

The service charge would apply when Globility dispatches a service technician to perform a co-operative test on an incumbent local exchange carrier's (ILEC's) unbundled local loop after confirmation from the ILEC that the loop is functional and the trouble is found to be in the ILEC's facilities and/or equipment.

3.

Globility proposed a service charge for trouble identification on ILEC unbundled local loops of $65.95 for the first 15 minutes or fraction and $16.75 for each additional 15 minutes or fraction.

4.

The Commission approves on an interim basis Globility's application. The revisions take effect as of 8 December 2003.
