Private switch automatic location identification service

1.

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 15 August 2003, for approval of the private switch automatic location identification service under General Tariff item 208 and the proposed associated standard agreement.

2.

TCI submitted that the proposed service would allow private switch operators (PSOs) to enter information into TCI's automatic location information database in order to enable the delivery of location information of station equipment connected with the PSO's switch to the 9-1-1 Call Answer Centre.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves TCI's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
