NorthernTel Limited Partnership

Custom calling features and call management service

1.

The Commission received an application by NorthernTel Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), dated 18 August 2003, to revise item 8, Custom Calling Features, item 10, Call Management Service, and item 13, Personalized Ring Promotional Offer, under section N490 of its General Tariff in order to:
  · introduce Personalized Ring service to single-line residence and business
  customers served by a digital multiplex system switch that is custom calling
  features capable. Monthly rates are $5.00 and $7.00 for residence and
  business customers, respectively; and
  · introduce Last Call Return, Busy Call Return and Three-Way Calling services
  on a pay per activation basis for call management service-eligible customers.
  A per activation charge of $0.95 will apply to a maximum of $8.00 per month.

NorthernTel also proposed to introduce a Personalized Ring promotion commencing one month after the approval date of the application for a period of two months. During this promotion, residence and business customers who subscribe to Personalized Ring would receive the service for one month at no charge.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission notes that the rates proposed by NorthernTel are similar to those provided by other telephone companies.

The Commission approves NorthernTel's application. The revisions take effect as of 20 October 2003.

NorthernTel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
