Withdrawal of Telpak service

The Commission received an application by MTS Communications Inc. (MTS), dated 31 July 2003, to withdraw Supplementary Tariff - Special Services and Facilities item 5550, Channel Discounts for Interexchange Voice Grade Facilities (Telpak), as there are no customers for the service. MTS also proposed related tariff changes to items 4900, 5000, 5500 and 5700.

Telpak is a pricing arrangement that applies to interprovincial interexchange voice grade channels. The pricing arrangement provides a discount to the distance charge portion of interexchange voice grade channels when seven or more interexchange voice grade channels are provided between the same two points.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves MTS's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
