TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc.

SmartTouch services

1.

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc. (TELUS Québec), dated 21 July 2003, to add General Tariff item 2.20.03.g, SmartTouch Services, in order to introduce, as a permanent offering to all residential local service customers, a 10 to 15% rebate, based upon a 12-, 24- or 36-month contract period, on selected telephone sets offered by the Company when the customer subscribes to Name and Number Display or Voice Messaging.

TELUS Québec submitted that the proposed rates for the selected telephone sets are compensatory.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves TELUS Québec's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

5.

TELUS Québec is to issue forthwith a revised tariff page that will reflect the change in the effective date.
