People's Telephone Company of Forest Inc.

Digital Switched Service

1.

The Commission received an application by People's Telephone Company of Forest Inc. (People's), dated 16 July 2003, to introduce item 1, Digital Switched Service - General, item 2, Service Components, and item 3, Rates and Charges, under section 200 of its General Tariff, in order to provide the customer access to People's public switched telephone network (PSTN) on a DS-1 basis, which will permit the use of Digital Switched Service (DSS) for voice PSTN connectivity or for Internet service provider connectivity.

DSS is offered on a monthly basis, and on a one-to-five year minimum contract period basis.

3.

People's submitted that the proposed rates were consistent with those approved by the Commission for other telephone companies.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission finds that the proposed rates are consistent with those approved for other telephone companies.

6.

The Commission approves People's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 September 2003.

7.

People's is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
