Ottawa, 29 April 2003

NorthernTel Limited Partnership

Reference: Tariff Notices 187 and 187A

Deletion of references to two- and four-party line services

1.

The Commission received an application by NorthernTel Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), dated 18 February 2003 and amended on 24 March 2003, to revise sections N60, N70, N80, N90, N100, N110, N140, N180, N220, N400, N490 and N850 of its General Tariff in order to delete all references to two- and four-party line services. These revisions result from the completion of NorthernTel's Service Improvement Plan (SIP).

2.

In its application, NorthernTel also proposed to re-introduce the SIP sales promotion from 30 March 2003 to 30 June 2003. During this promotion, residential and business customers upgraded to individual line service or provided with new service as a result of the SIP may use any one eligible feature or Smart Package for two months at no charge.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves NorthernTel's application.

5.

NorthernTel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith reflecting this decision effective on the date of issuance.
