FM radio station in Québec -- Technical change

1.

The Commission approves the application by Cogeco Radio-Télévision inc. to increase the effective radiated power of the FM radio programming undertaking in Québec, authorized in New FM radio station in Québec, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-191, 16 July 2002 from 4,500 watts to 14,450 watts. The frequency will remain at 91.9 MHz (channel 220), but the class will change from B to C1.

The Commission notes that an increase of the contour to the North-East will result from this change.

The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
