Telecom Order CRTC 2002-425

Ottawa, 18 November 2002

Mornington Communications Co-operative Limited

Reference: Tariff Notice 25

Service charges associated with premise work

1.

The Commission received an application by Mornington Communications Co-operative Limited (Mornington), dated 18 September 2002, to revise item 3, Service Charges Schedule, under section 110 of its General Tariff, in order to increase the premises work service charge for residential and business customers to $20.

2.

The premises work service charge applies for each item of work carried out at the customer's request and on the customer's premises, to install, move or change a telephone line and/or other miscellaneous equipment.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission notes that in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001, it determined that the rates for services of this type could increase to any already approved rate for the same service.

5.

The Commission further notes that the proposed rate is equal to the rate previously approved for the same service in Order CRTC 2000-1114 dated 7 December 2000.

6.

Accordingly, the Commission approves Mornington's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

7.

Mornington is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect this change.
