Telecom Order CRTC 2002-390

Ottawa, 2 October 2002

Bruce Municipal Telephone System

Reference: Tariff notice 101

Seasonal service

1.

The Commission received an application by Bruce Municipal Telephone System (BMTS), dated 15 August 2002, to revise item 4.0, Rate Schedules for Primary Exchange (Local) Service, under section 100 of its General Tariff, in order to modify its seasonal cottage service rates.

2.

BMTS proposed to provide seasonal cottage service to residential customers at a flat rate of $14.95 per month for 12 months. These customers would receive full service between 1 May and 31 October each year and suspended service, except for 9-1-1 access, during the alternate months. BMTS also proposed to accept payment for such service by preauthorized payment only.

3.

The Commission notes that the seasonal customer would retain the same telephone number.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves BMTS' application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

6.

BMTS is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect this change.
