Aliant Telecom Inc.

Residence service package

1.

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 11 July 2002, to transfer the following tariff items to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 300, Residence Single-Line Access Bundles:

- NBTel Inc. General Tariff item 48;

- NewTel Communications Inc. General Tariff item 405;

- Maritime Tel & Tel Limited General Tariff item 1700; and

- Island Telecom Inc. General Tariff item 855.

As part of the application, Aliant Telecom also proposed to modify the offerings contained in these items as follows:

- align the residential service bundles under one name, "Residential Single-Line Access Bundles", and one service description;

- correct the number of email addresses allowed under its Bundle # 4;

- grandfather the Internet Call Waiting/Internet Call Manager feature for existing customers in the Newfoundland, Labrador and New Brunswick regions;

- remove NewTel's Call Forward Busy/No Answer feature from the list of eligible features; and

- remove two expired promotions.

The Commission received no comment with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
