Kenora Municipal Telephone System

Centrex service

1.

The Commission received an application by Kenora Municipal Telephone System (KMTS), dated 31 January 2002, to revise item 1, Centrex Service, and item 2, Optional Centrex Features, under section 210 of its General Tariff, in accordance with the pricing constraints set out in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001.

KMTS proposed the revisions in order to:

- increase the rate for basic Centrex lines by an amount between $3.00 and $5.35 per month, depending upon the system line size or contract period and introduce discounts based upon volume and contract length;

- introduce an optional Centrex feature that would provide additional directory number appearances on a compatible electronic business telephone set at a rate of $4.00 per directory number per month along with a multi-element service charge;

- introduce a large conference bridge feature at a rate of $150.00 per month along with a multi-element service charge;

- introduce analogue tie trunk feature at a rate of $28.00 per month along with a $50.00 service charge; and

- introduce digital access (DS-1) trunk card at a rate of $216.00 per month; and a termination feature for each working DS-0 at a rate of $18.00 per month along with a $50.00 service charge.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves KMTS' application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

KMTS is to issue forthwith revised tariff pages to reflect these changes.
