Long distance calling plan

The Commission approves the application by Northwestel Inc., dated 5 March 2002, to addtariffitem310.1, Freedom World, to its Message Toll Service, Special Two-Point Services. The new residential long distance calling plan consists of the following tariff components:

  • a monthly recurring charge per subscribing account;
  • customer dialed station-to-station calls terminating anywhere in Canada;
  • customer dialed station-to-station calls terminating in the United States and overseas locations;
  • all calling card station-to-station calls to Canada, the United States and overseas that originate or terminate in Northwestel's operating area; and
  • 25% discount on the total month's regular message toll rates after applicable time of day discounts (including the surcharge) for calling card calls in Canada, United States and overseas.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
