Subscription Television - New transmitter in Cheticamp

1.

The Commission approves the application by Acadian Communication Limited to amend the broadcasting licence for its radiocommunication distribution undertaking (subscription television) in order to operate a transmitter in Cheticamp that would distribute MuchMusic.

2.

The new transmitter will operate on channel 14 with a transmitter power of 20 watts.

3.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

4.

The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 24 months from the date of this decision, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before 21 November 2004. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
