Deadline to commence operations

The Commission approves the application by 1158556 Ontario Ltd., doing business under the name of Celestial Sound, for an extension of the time limit to commence operation of the new transmitters of CHIM-FM Timmins at Chapleau, Elliot Lake, Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie, authorized in Licence amendment for CHIM-FM Timmins, Decision CRTC 2001-30, 25 January 2001and in Addition of transmitters of CHIM-FM Timmins at Chapleau, Elliot Lake and Wawa,Decision CRTC 2001-182, 20 March 2001.

The Commission notes that the current application represents the second request for an extension of time limit to commence operation of these undertakings.

The transmitters must be operational at the earliest possible date, and in any event no later than 20 December 2002, unless a request for a further extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
