Three-month administrative renewals

1.

The Commission renews, from 1 September 2002 to 30 November 2002, the broadcasting licences for the national pay audio programming undertaking operated by Max Trax Music Ltd. (formerly DMX Music Ltd.) and known as "Max Trax" (formerly, "DMX") and the national pay audio programming undertaking operated by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and known as "Galaxie". The licences will be subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.

The Commission heard the applications for renewal of these licences at the 3 June 2002 Public Hearing in the National Capital Region. However, it will not be able to rule on these applications before the current licences expire.

This decision does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of these licences. The Commission will issue decisions on the renewal applications at a later date.
