Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-180

Ottawa, 8 July 2002

Natotawin Broadcasting Inc.
Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan

Application 2002-0381-0

Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by Natotawin Broadcasting Inc. for an extension of the time limit to commence operation of a new radioprogramming undertaking in Meadow Lake, authorized in Licence amendment for CJLR-FM La Ronge, Decision CRTC 2001-41, 2 February 2001.

2.

The Commission notes that the current application represents the second request for an extension of time limit to commence operation of this undertaking. The previous request, authorized in Extension of time limit to implement a new transmitter of CJLR-FM La Ronge at Meadow Lake, Decision CRTC 2002-106, 22 April 2002, extended the time limit to 30 April 2002.

3.

The licence for this undertaking will be issued once the licensee has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. This undertaking must be operational no later than 31 December 2002, unless a request for a further extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
