Re: Application 2001-1141-9 - Approved
Extension of time limit - transmitter in Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario
Radio Communautaire Kapnord Inc. - CKGN-FM Kapuskasing, Ontario

Dear Mr. Chabot,

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission approves your request for an extension of time limit to implement the new transmitter in Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario, authorized by Decision CRTC 2001-251.

The Commission grants you an extension of time limit to 31 January 2002.

This extension does not of course, relieve you of your responsibility to implement the authority to operate the transmitter at the earliest possible date.

Should the completion of the new installation not be completed within the period stipulated in this decision or, should the Commission refuse to approve an extension requested by the licensee, the licence will not be amended.

As stipulated in the decision, the authorization will only be effective and the licence will only be amended at such time as the undertaking is constructed and ready to begin operation. Consequently, the applicant is required to notify the Commission, in writing, before the end of this extension or any other extension approved by the Commission, once it has completed construction of the transmitter and is prepared to commence operation, so its licence can be amended.

The Commission requires that this decision be appended to the licence of your undertaking.

Yours truly,

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
