Application by Bell Globemedia Inc. requesting the authority to change the ownership structure of the national Category 1 specialty television service called "Travel TV". The current application alters the authorized ownership structure granted under Decision CRTC 2000-458. |

In Decision CRTC 2000-458, the Commission authorized an ownership structure for Travel TV consisting of a general partnership comprised of BCE Media Inc./TVA Group Inc.(51%) and CTV Televison Inc. (CTV) (49%). Following this change, Travel TV will be owned 100% by CTV as a new licence would be issued to CTV for the Travel TV undertaking. |

Newco will acquire the assets of 9 radio stations and related transmitters that are currently owned by Telemedia in Quebec (CFIX-FM Chicoutimi, CHLN Trois-Rivières, CHEY-FM Trois-Rivières, CHLT Sherbrooke, CIMF-FM Hull, CKTS Sherbrooke, CITF-FM Quebec City, CITE-FM Montréal, CITE-FM-1 and its transmitter CITE-FM-2 Sherbrooke), 2 radio networks (Radio Rock Détente Network Montréal and CHLN/CKSM Network Trois-Rivières/ Shawinigan) and the digital radio CITE-FM Montréal. |

The applicant is also requesting that licences be granted to Newco, under the same current terms and conditions, for the broadcast undertakings of the stations and related networks. |

The purpose of the proposed corporate reorganization is to regroup in one company all the radio stations located in Quebec that are directly owned by Telemedia. The reorganization will not result in any change of control or ownership of the above stations. |

In Decision CRTC 2000-41 dated 11 February 2000, the Commission approved Standard's applications to carry on the above-mentioned transitional DRUs. The Commission's approval was subject to the condition that the facilities be in operation within 12 months of the date of the decision, i.e., by 11 February 2001. As well, in the event that the licensee was unable to commence operations before that date, it was required to apply to the Commission in writing to extend the deadline. |

|
Since the licensee did not apply for an extension before the 12-month period expired, it must apply to the Commission for new licences to carry on transitional DRUs in Montréal. |
|
|
Since there are no changes to the applications filed in 1999, the Commission accepts the licensee's 1999 applications as its current requests. |

This application responds to Decision CRTC 2000-1 which states that the Commission expects that the CBC will extend its Radio Two service to at least: |

The Commission notes that approval of this application would result in Mr. Kenneth R. Thomson, who indirectly owns a 50% partnership interest in ROBTv through his ownership of all of the shares of G and M Business News Limited, indirectly owning a 100% interest in the partnership. |
