Dear Ms. Bell:

Re:  Application No. 2001-0593-3 - Approved to 1 January 2002
Request to extend the trust arrangement in respect of CKVU Sub Inc.
CKVU Sub Inc., licensee of CKVU-TV Vancouver

Reference is made to your letter of 25 May 2001 where you seek an extension of the trust arrangement established in the context of CKVU Sub Inc., licensee of CKVU-TV Vancouver. The trust arrangement is under the authority of Mr. L. R. Sherman. Mr. Sherman's authority is to expire on 31 May 2001.

The Commission has considered your request and has decided to extend the authority for the trust arrangement until 1 January 2002.

All letters of approval issued by the Commission are made available for public examination at the Commission's central office. The Commission also requires you to append this letter to the CKVU-TV licence.

Finally, this letter is not to be interpreted in any way as an indication that the Commission is predisposed to authorize the subsequent applications relating to the transaction.
