Trunk-side interconnection with common channel signalling approved for wireless service providers
Reference: Bruce Municipal Telephone System Tariff Notice 81
The Commission approves Bruce Municipal Telephone System's (BMTS) application, with changes, to introduce trunk-side interconnection for wireless service providers.

The Commission notes that an independent Canadian Number Administrator supply and administer geographic central office codes. Accordingly, the telephone companies do not need tariffs for work they no longer perform.

The Commission approves BMTS's Tariff Notice 81, but directs the company to remove the following items from Section 7.01 of the proposed tariff and to issue revised tariff pages:
 a) Geographic central office codes (NNX) obtained from the Central Office Code Administrator;
b) Industry notification; and
c) Bellcore Record Maintenance for recovery of the annual Bellcore charges.
