The Commission approves Bell's request to:
  • increase the Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) equivalent bandwidth on existing cross-sections as well as the addition of new cross-sections with SONET interexchange bandwidth; and
  • introduce a dedicated DS-1 access and interexchange service option connecting the customer's antenna sites or the customer's premises containing switching equipment and Bell's central offices.
Bell filed its application on 20 January 2000 to revise Special Facilities Tariff Item B-5005. These revisions will take effect on 19 February 2000.
