Order CRTC 2000-348

Ottawa, 27 April 2000

TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc.
Tariff Notice 4054

Service charge waiver promotion
The Commission denies TCBC's proposed Alternate Voice and Data Plus Optional Packet Service Component Service Charge Waiver Promotion. This promotion, proposed to run from 10 April 2000 to 9 January 2001, would have provided customers of the above service who have selected TCBC as their Primary Interexchange Carrier for long distance service, with a waiver or a reduction of service charges.
The Commission notes that this promotion is similar to the promotion included in Item 465C, Note 3 of Tariff CRTC 1005, which was in effect from 1 September 1998 to 31 August 1999.

Further, the Commission notes that TCBC did not file an imputation test in support of its proposed tariff revisions.

TCBC filed this application on 10 March 2000 to revise Item 465 of its General Tariff.
