  Local network interconnection and component unbundling
 

The Commission approves Island Telecom Inc.'s request to:

 
  • include rates and charges for competitive local exchange carriers' (CLECs') access to 9-1-1 service;
 
  • charge a monthly rate of $0.30 to CLECs per each network access service or working telephone number associated with CLEC end-customer access to 9-1-1 service; and
 
  • use DS-1 Megaroute service to provide transport facilities for CLECs to access the 9-1-1 tandem switch.
 

Island Tel filed the application on 17 October 2000 to revise Item 300 of APTC's Regional Services Tariff.

 

The revisions take effect on 17 November 2000.
