Decision CRTC 2000-50

Ottawa, 17 February 2000
Les Chaînes Télé-Astral inc.
Montréal, Quebec
Three-month licence renewal for Canal Famille

1.

For administrative reasons, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the French-language specialty programming undertaking Canal Famille from 1 March 2000 to 31 May 2000, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

2.

The Commission announced the application for the renewal of this licence in Public Notice CRTC 1999-177 dated 2 November 1999. However, it cannot rule on this application before the current licence expires.

3.

This administrative renewal does not dispose of the renewal application, nor of any substantive issues that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. The Commission will issue a decision on the licence renewal application at a later date.
