Telecom Order CRTC 99-160

On 1 February 1999, Vidéotron Télécom (1998) ltée (VTL-1998) filed for Commission approval, its General Tariff under Tariff Notice (TN) 1.

File No.: Tariff Notice 1

1.As part of Le Groupe Vidéotron's company restructuring, VTL-1998 has replaced Vidéotron Télécom ltée as the local exchange carrier.

2.The Commission notes that the General Tariff filed by VTL-1998 ltée is identical to the General Tariff approved on an interim basis for Vidéotron Télécom ltée by Commission letter dated 3 June 1998.

3.Further, the Commission notes that since 3 June 1998, it has issued a number of decisions that require modification to specific tariff items proposed in the above mentioned tariff filing. Accordingly, the Commission grants interim approval to TN 1 with the following modifications:

i) Revise Tariff Item 201 - Compensation for Intra-exchange Traffic Termination, to reflect the final rates approved in Telecom Order CRTC 98-1190, 30 November 1998, amended by Telecom Order CRTC
98-1190-3 dated 6 January 1999; and

ii) Delete Tariff Item 500 - Digital Network Services, to reflect the Commission's determination on this matter rendered in Local Competition, Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, 1 May 1997.

4.VTL-1998 is directed to issue forthwith revised tariff pages to implement the changes indicated in paragraph 3 above.

5.The Commission also directs VTL-1998, to file for approval, within 30 days of the date of this Order, a Basic Listing Interchange File (BLIF) tariff to replace Tariff Item 104 - Directory Listing. The filing should reflect the Commission's determination issued in Telecom Order CRTC 98-994, 9 October 1998.
