Kangiqsujuaq, Quebec – 199907060
Application processed by Public Notice CRTC 1999-116 dated 16 July 1999
  Licence renewal
  1. The Commission renews the Class 3 licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving Kangiqsujuaq, from 1 December 1999 to 31 August 2006.
  2. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts 1 and 3 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations (the regulations). The licence will be subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence as well as to those conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
  3. The licensee is relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 32(1)(a) of the regulations to distribute the priority local service of CH4185 (APTN formerly TVNC) Kangiqsujuaq. The Commission notes that the licensee will distribute instead the APTN signal, received via satellite.
  4. The licensee may receive any authorized signals over the air, or from any licensed or exempted Canadian broadcasting distribution undertaking authorized to provide signals to other broadcasting distribution undertakings.
  5. It is a condition of licence that, for community programming and any other programming of a service that it originates, the licensee adhere to the guidelines on the depiction of violence in television programming set out in the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Voluntary Code Regarding Violence in Television Programming, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.
