Decision

Ottawa, 29 July 1999

Decision CRTC 99-189

Radiomedia Enterprises Inc.

Montréal, Quebec - 199903836

14 June 1999 Public Hearing
National Capital Region

Transfer of shares

1.  The Commission approves the application by Radiomedia Enterprises Inc., licensee of CKAC Montréal, the AM Radio News Network, Réseau des Expos and Réseau des Canadiens for authority to trans-fer the issued and outstanding shares held by Telemedia Communications Inc. (Telemedia) to Telemedia Radio Inc.

2.  In approving this application, the Commission has taken into account the fact that Telemedia Radio Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telemedia and that the transaction thus represents an inter-corporate reorganization without any change occurring in the control, programming or management of the licensee. Telemedia is reorganizing its operations and wishes to group all of its broadcasting assets under a new subsidiary. This transaction also includes the transitional digital radio undertaking approved in Decision CRTC 98-498.
