   The Commission has received the following applications:

  a)  to amend the broadcasting licence of the cable distribution undertaking serving Bathurst, by adding a condition of licence authorizing the licensee to distribute, at its option, as part of the basic service, the programming services of WCVB-TV (ABC) and WBZ (CBS) Boston, Massachusetts, received via satellite. The Commission notes that the licensee would cease the distribution of WVII-TV (ABC) and WABI-TV (CBS) Bangor, Maine; and

  b)  for authority to delete its local head end. The Commission notes that this undertaking will now be interconnected to that of Fredericton, also owned by the licensee; and

  10.  NEWCASTLE (MIRAMICHI), New Brunswick
  Application (199803193) by RADIO MIRACADIE INC. to amend the broadcasting licence of the French-language FM community (radio) programming undertaking at Newcastle (Miramichi), by adding transmitters at Rogersville, Baie Ste-Anne and Néguac, New Brunswick, operating on a frequency of 99.9 MHz (channel 260LP) with an effective radiated power of 31 watts. This undertaking normally broadcasts programs during the "Festival d'automne" held in September each year.
  The licensee proposes to add the above-noted transmitters in order to broadcast the "Festival du 15 août" (formerly the "Festival d'automne") at Newcastle (Miramichi) and to change the broadcast period to the week of 9 to 16 August 1998.
