Telecom Order CRTC 98-1149
On 16 September 1998, BC TEL filed an application under Tariff Notice (TN) 3853, amended by TN 3853A dated 16 October 1998, for approval of tariff revisions to General Tariff Item 168-A, Integrated Voice Messaging Service, to introduce two "Call Answer Network Messaging Launch" promotional offers to individual-line residence and business customers. The first offer provides Call Answer and Call Answer Plus customers with the option of subscribing to a network messaging package of 15 to 30 messages per month for a flat monthly fee in addition to the five network messages per month already included in the monthly mailbox rate. The second offer provides new or existing Call Answer Plus customers with five free network messages per month and provides customers with greater storage capacity, longer greetings and message length as well as Auto Play/Auto Save and Scheduled Greetings. The company also proposes to remove the Community Voice Messaging Mailbox and Community Voice Messaging Plus Mailbox components and replace these with an Unlimited Local Network Messaging option.
