On 18 September 1998, Northwestel Inc. filed an application for approval of Special Services Tariff Item 710.1, Emergency Digital Radio Facilities - Alascom, providing for emergency use of three DS-3 digital radio facilities from Whitehorse, Yukon to Cardston, Alberta.

In light of the foregoing, the Commission orders that:
The proposed tariff revisions to become effective on 15 October 1998 are approved.
