DECISION

Ottawa, 18 February 1998

DecisionCRTC 98-50

Cable Labrador Limited
English Point (Labrador), Newfoundland – 199706016

Relief from the requirement to distribute CBNAT-9 Mount St. Margaret and CBST-17 Blanc Sablon

Following Public Notice CRTC 1997-149 dated 19 December 1997, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving English Point, by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee of the requirements of sections 32(1)(a) and (b) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations to distribute local station CBNAT-9 (CBC) Mount St. Margaret, Newfoundland and regional station CBST-17 (SRC) Blanc Sablon, Quebec, because of the poor quality of these signals.

The licensee will distribute instead the signal of CBMT (CBC) Montréal, received via satellite, to replace CBNAT-9 Mount St. Margaret.

This decision is to be appended to the licence.

Laura M. Talbot-Allan
Secretary General
