Decrease in power for CKTN-TV
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-67 dated 14 July 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CHKL-TV Kelowna by decreasing the effective radiated power of its transmitter CKTN-TV Trail, from 4,400 watts to 4,200 watts.
2. The licensee also proposes to relocate the existing television transmitting antenna. The Commission notes that there will be no significant change in the service contours as presently authorized.
3. The Commission hereby authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
4. In accordance with subsection 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority will only be granted at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Industry that it will issue a Broadcasting Certificate.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
