Licence amendment

1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-30 dated 14 April 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the Class 2 licence for the cable distribution undertaking serving Hanover/Walkerton, as follows:

a) by deleting the condition of licence authorizing the distribution, at the licensee's option, of CHCH-TV (IND) Hamilton, as well as WTOL-TV (CBS) Toledo, Ohio, WTVS (PBS), WXYZ-TV (ABC), and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan, received via satellite from Cancom; and

b) by authorizing the distribution, at the licensee's option, of CHCH-TV (IND) Hamilton, WIVB-TV (CBS), WNED-TV (PBS) Buffalo, New York, WXYZ-TV (ABC) and WDIV (NBC) Detroit, Michigan, as part of the basic service.

2. The licensee may receive any authorized signals over the air or from any licensed or exempted Canadian broadcasting distribution undertaking authorized to provide signals to other broadcasting distribution undertakings. The Commission notes that the licensee intends to receive the signals noted above by optical fibre.

This decision is to be appended to the licence.
