Decision

Ottawa, 31 January 1997
Decision CRTC 97-42
Electrohome Limited
Red Deer, Alberta - 199612073
Licence amendment for CFRN-TV-6
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-160 dated 23 December 1996, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CFRN-TV-6 Red Deer by decreasing the effective radiated power from 24,000 watts to 22,000 watts.
The licensee also proposes to relocate its transmitter to a new site approximately 2 kilometres northeast of the current site and to increase the effective height of the antenna. The Commission notes that, as a result, there will be no significant change in the service contours, as presently authorized.
The Commission hereby authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
