Decision

Ottawa, 9 February 1996
Decision CRTC 96-50
Newcap Inc.
Thunder Bay, Ontario - 951614700
 Licence amendment for CJLB-FM
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-221 dated 21 December 1995, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CJLB-FM Thunder Bay by changing the transmitter location from the site approved by the Commission in Decision CRTC 94-842, to a new site located northeast of Thunder Bay at Mount Baldy and by upgrading channel 287 from Class C1 to Class C.
The Commission notes that the station's service contours will be enlarged due to a proposed increase in the height of the transmitting antenna, and that these changes will result in a better signal for CJLB-FM's audience.
The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.

 Allan J. Darling
 Secretary General
