Decision

Ottawa, 12 August 1996
Decision CRTC 96-379
Coopérative régionale de câblodistribution de la Côte-Nord
Pentecôte, Quebec - 952511400
Licence renewal
Following Public Notice CRTC 1996-56 dated 17 April 1996, the Commission renews the licence held by Coopérative régionale de câblodistribution de la Côte-Nord, for the cable distribution undertaking serving Pentecôte, from 1 September 1996 to 31 August 2003.
The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I, III and IV of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
$TEXTENG>The Commission approves the licensee's request with respect to the distribution of CFER-TV-2 (TVA) Gaspé Nord and CBSET (CBC) Sept-Îles. Accordingly, the licensee is relieved, by condition of licence of the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(b) of the regulations to distribute the regional signals of CFER-TV-2 and CBSET. The licensee proposes to distribute instead CFER-TV (TVA) Rimouski, received over the air, and CBMT (CBC) Montréal, received via satellite.
Consistent with Decision CRTC 93-678 dated 22 November 1993, it is a condition of licence that the licensee be relieved of the requirement that it distribute at least four television programming services as provided for in section 23 of the regulations, so long as it distributes only those U.S. television services listed in the current application or as may be authorized by the Commission.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
