Deletion of local head end and interconnection to the Bluewater TV Cable Ltd. undertaking; addition of signals
Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-120 dated 18 July 1995, the Commission approves the application for authority to delete the local head end at Exeter, to add a distant head end at Holmesville and to interconnect, via optical fibre, the cable distribution undertaking serving the above-noted localities with the Bluewater TV Cable Ltd. undertaking serving Goderich, Clinton, Holmesville, Bayfield and Huron Haven Village.
The Commission notes that both undertakings are regulated pursuant to Parts I and II of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 and offer identical programming services with the exception of the community channel.
The Commission also approves the application for authority to distribute, at the licensee's option, the Global Communications Limited signal, CIII-TV, received via satellite, and CITY-TV (IND) Toronto, received via satellite from CANCOM, as part of the basic service.
The Commission has noted the licensee's statement that there will be no fee increase as a result of the approval of this application.
