Decision

Ottawa, 23 August 1995

Decision CRTC 95-577

Andrew O'Brien, Town Clerk

Cape Broyle, Newfoundland - 942118100 - 942119900

Licence renewal

Following Public Notice CRTC 1995-77 dated 10 May 1995, the Commission renews the licences for the radiocommunication distribution undertakings CJBL-TV and CHCB-TV-1 Cape Broyle, from 1 September 1995 to 31 August 2000, subject to the conditions in effect under the current licences, as well as to those conditions specified in the licences to be issued.

The Commission notes that these undertakings rebroadcast programming originating from CJON-TV (CTV) and CBNT-TV (CBC) St. John's, respectively.

The licence term granted herein, while less than the maximum of seven years permitted by the Broadcasting Act, will enable the Commission to consider the next licence renewal of these undertakings in accordance with the Commission's regional plan and to better distribute the workload within the Commission. This term is not reflective of any Commission concern regarding the licensee's performance.

Secretary General
