Decision

Ottawa, 16 February 1995
Decision CRTC 95-54
Anderson Lake Recreational and Cultural Society
D'Arcy, British Columbia - 940440100
New radiocommunication distribution undertaking
Following a Public Hearing in Vancouver beginning on 1 November 1994, the Commission approves the application for a licence to carry on a radiocommunication distribution undertaking consisting of two low-power television transmitters to serve D'Arcy.
The Commission will issue a licence to Anderson Lake Recreational and Cultural Society, expiring 31 August 2001, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
This undertaking will distribute, in non-encrypted mode, the programming services of the Open Learning Agency (Knowledge Network) and CHAN-TV (CTV) Vancouver, received via satellite, on channel 3 and 5 respectively, each with a transmitter power of 10 watts.
It is a condition of licence that construction of this undertaking be completed and that it be in operation within twelve months of the date of this decision or, where the applicant applies to the Commission within this period and satisfies the Commission that it cannot complete implementation before the expiry of this period and that an extension is in the public interest, within such further period of time as is approved in writing by the Commission.
The Commission acknowedges the intervention received in support of this application.
