Decision CRTC 95-144

Prospect Bay Cable Company Limited
Prospect, Shad Bay, Bayside, Whites Lake, Hatchet Lake and Terrence Bay, Nova Scotia- 941487100

Addition of CFJP-TV

Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1995-17 dated 6 February 1995, the Commission approves the application for authority to distribute CFJP-TV (TQS) Montréal, received via satellite, as part of the basic service of the cable distribution undertaking serving the above-mentioned localities.

The Commission is satisfied that the distribution of CFJP-TV is in line with the guidelines on the cable distribution of distant Canadian television signals first set out in Public Notice CRTC 1985-61 and reiterated in Public Notice CRTC 1993-74. It is further satisfied that the distribution of CFJP-TV will enhance the choice of French-language programming services offered to subscribers.
