APPROVED - Renewal of the licences of the CBC English-language television and radio networks, as well as those of 15 CBC English-language regional television programming usndertakings listed in the Appendix to this decision, until 31 August 2007. DENIED - Request to broadcast brief sponsorship messages.

2000-2 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, across Canada. APPROVED - Renewal, until 31 August 2007, of the licences for the CBC's French-language television network and for the regional French-language television stations and their transmitters listed in the Appendix to this decision. APPROVED - Renewal, until 31 August 2007, of the licences for the French-language radio networks, La Première Chaîne and La Chaîne culturelle. APPROVED - Authority to calculate the percentage of French-language vocal music selections that it broadcasts on a monthly basis rather than over the broadcast week.

2000-3 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, across Canada. APPROVED - Renewal of the licences for the specialty programming undertakings Newsworld and Le Réseau de l'information (RDI) from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2007. APPROVED - Increase of Newsworld’s maximum monthly wholesale rate per subscriber in Anglophone markets from $0.55 to $0.63 when distributed as part of the basic service, effective 1 September 2000 and increase of RDI’s maximum monthly wholesale rate per subscriber in Francophone markets from $0.90 to $1.00 when distributed as part of the basic service, effective 1 September 2000.

2000-5-1 - Radiomutuel inc. Montréal, Gatineau, etc., Quebec. The Commission corrects paragraph 6 of the English-language text of Decision CRTC 2000-5. The amount of the contribution to MusicAction should have read $300,000 per year for seven years.

2000-70 - WIC Western Internation Communications Ltd., Across Canada. APPROVED – Multi-step intracorporate reorganization relating to several of its wholly-owned subsidiaries. The licences will expire 31 August 2002, except for "MovieMax" which will expire 31 August 2000; "SuperChannel" which will expire 31 August 2001 and "Home Theatre" which will expire 31 August 2005.

2000-71 - Haliburton Broadcasting Group Inc., Sudbury, Ontario. APPROVED - Renewal of the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CHYC Sudbury, from 1 March 2000 to 31 March 2000.

2000-72 - The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario), Toronto, Ontario. DENIED, by majority vote - Request that all Class 1 cable systems and MDS distribution undertakings serving Quebec be required, on a mandatory basis, to distribute TFO on a discretionary analog tier for a fee.

2000-73 - The Commission approves in part the application by Elmer Hildebrand for a broadcasting licence for an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The Commission denies the competing applications by Forvest Broadcasting Corporation, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Rawlco Communications (Sask.) Ltd., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

2000-77 - Regina Cablevision Co-operative, Regina, Saskatchewan. APPROVED, by majority vote - Application for relief from the requirements of section 29 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations.

2000-78 - Cable VDN Inc., Montréal, Quebec. APPROVED - Distribution of CITY-TV Toronto as part of a discretionary tier of the cable distribution undertaking serving Montréal.

APPROVED - Applications by the CBC to convert CBF-FM-10 Sherbrooke and CBF-FM-8 Trois-Rivières to French-language FM radio programming undertakings broadcasting regional programming. 2000-89-1 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Sherbrooke, Asbestos, etc., Québec. The Commission hereby corrects Decision CRTC 2000-89 dated 29 March 200, by indicating that the licences for the new FM radio programming undertakings at Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières will expire on 31 August 2001.
